St Anthony of Padua Novena
We will begin a solemn novena to St Anthony of Padua -- A Saint for All Times & a Saint for All People -- on Tuesday, March 15, at the 5:30 p.m. mass. The novena will take place every Tuesday for 13 weeks.

We need this powerful saint to help us in these troubled times to find solutions to our personal and world problems. Come join us in prayer to this remarkable man and saint.

Programs for Seniors
The Crown Community Care of Yorkville again invites all seniors residing in Yorkville to attend one of our Wednesday or Saturday morning free programs, which start at 10 am. The programs will be in the Francis Room and a continental breakfast will be served.

On Saturday, March 19, we will have a program called "Ask the Social Worker." On Wednesday, March 23, you can take in our "Body Awareness Exercise Class." We also are taking registration for a knitting and crochet class that will begin on Thursday, March 31. For more information, call 212-861-8500.

Save the Date for Our Sky is the Limit Auction
Our annual acution, The Sky is the Limit, will take place on Friday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. It will feature both a live auction and a silent auction with drinks, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres. Admission is $30 per person. The auction will benefit St. Stephen of Hungary Parish and St. Stephen of Hungary School.

We would greatly appreciate donations of the following items. New Items (TV's , VCR's, DVD's, Walkman, Ipods, and cameras, etc. Tickets to the opera, the ballet, modern dance, Broadway shows, sports events, etc., Gift certificates, crystal, china, kitchen appliances, jewelry, antiques, and liquor/wine. Donations accepted at the Friary Office.

You may also want to take an Ad in our Journal. The cost of a full-page ad is $100; a half-page is $50, and a quarter-page is $25.

Volunteers are needed for various jobs such as making phone calls, writing up donations, personal and local business solicitations, distribution of flyers, posters, etc., and to set up for day of auction. For information and to volunteer please call the friary office (212) 861-8500.

Yorkville Common Pantry
During the month of March, the Yorkville Common Pantry is requesting contributions of boxes of individual packets of dry/powdered mild, cereal, pancake mix, and syrup. Donations may be dropped off at the Friary office. Thank you for your support!
